During a tragic accident involving a hot air balloon last Sunday (08/16/2020), the balloon with the basket was blown into the slope above the Rhine, the Bundesstrau00dfe 9 and a railway line after a failed landing with several passengers. Due to the inaccessibility, the basket with the balloon envelope could not be salvaged after the rescue work was completed. After preparatory work on the slope and the blocking of the railway tracks and the B9, the rescue of the basket and balloon is carried out today with our GROVE GMK 6300L with a long luffing jib.
